The Velvet Neighborhood Guide: Lido Marina Village

Lido Marina Village is the epitome of Southern California gorgeous. Located in beautiful Newport Beach, it's a gem of cool boutiques and amazing restaurants with a seafront view to die for. The laid-back beach community is the perfect place for our whitewashed, breezy store and we couldn’t be more stoked (surfer lingo) to be surrounded by so many beautiful boutiques and places to dine—al fresco naturally—in a walkable, village-inspired atmosphere.
Below is our list of go-tos:

Zinqué

The iconic culinary hangout from Abbot Kinney in Venice and Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood has brought its European vibe—complete with tartine sandwiches and our fave Crispy Sunny Eggs—to the OC. Located on the Main Deck with waterfront patio seating the wine bar is the perfect spot for a post retail-therapy glass of Rosé Champagne.

Black Optical
Hands down, these guys carry the frames—both optical and sun—that you want to wear if you’re looking for something different. With a curated collection of harder-to-find lines such as Thierry Lasry and Jacques Marie Mage, there’s something to suit every face. It’s also right next door to our Lido locale so the perfect accessory stop.

Lido Village Books
There’s something so deliciously old-school and romantic about browsing in a classic bookstore and this is one of our faves. Everything from NYT best sellers to the classics, we love to pop in and pick up a couple of our beloved European fashion magazines. If you are out with the little ones, these guys also have a great kids reading nook.

Roger’s Gardens

California is known for our indoor/outdoor living and this spot exemplifies that. Roger’s Gardens  is the one-and-done destination for all your plant, furniture and household accessories. The perfect place to stop and smell the roses (literally) or to pick up a quick gift since they carry everything from candles to cookbooks.

Juice Served Here Marina Cafe
You can start your day here, or end it; either way, this juice bar is a cut above the rest. All juices are freshly pressed (we love the Tropic Thunder) and they’ve also expanded to some healthy (yet still totally yum) foods like smoothie bowls or sandwiches if you’re looking for a light lunch. These guys also do a mean latte, which is very important in our opinion.

Charlie and Me
Named after a beloved French Bulldog, this is the dog boutique for cool canines and their owners. Everything from beds to bowls—they even carry a dog teepee for glamping trips—as well as human accessories like mugs and bags for people (like us) who just love, love, love dogs.

Le Labo
Step into this sensory mecca and sniff your way to fragrance heaven. Not only do they have the most delicious scents that you can purchase in either a candle, home fragrance or perfume form, every detail, down to labels (where they’ll stamp on your name for a little extra personalization) makes us swoon.
