We sat down with Andrew Hinkley, our Men’s senior designer to talk about what pieces he’s most excited to share for the season

For nearly two decades, Velvet has been a go-to for quality men’s classics. It started with a simple premise: men want to feel luxurious and soft just as much as women. Almost unheard of at the time, Velvet used the same luxe fabrics for the men’s collections as they did for women. Just as the fabrics were the same, so was the philosophy — California classics that are laid back yet luxurious, and expertly crafted.

AH: I’m excited about our new styles. We are especially excited about our new pant, the Sting. With a slim and sophisticated fit, it’s an elevated plain front trouser.

AH: Our Ace cotton/cashmere thermal stitch sweater is back this season. It’s fully fashioned, using custom knit patterns linked together on sophisticated knitting machines for a light, breathable finish. An essential wardrobe staple, it can also double as a mid-weight tee.
