    So great

    I'm in my 50s and it's crazy that preteen girls, 20-something women, and women my age whom I don't know love the dress so much they stop to tell me on the street, in grocery stores, etc. I bought it back in January, thinking it would be good for dressing up a bit on beachy vacations (I'd just returned from one then). Didn't have an excuse (or weather) to wear it until May, when I wore it to a college commencement and an evening outdoor reception. Historically dresses aren't everyday wear for me, but I returned from a trip to Europe a few weeks ago., Inspired by how women dress there, I figured I'd just take advantage of how light and comfortable it is to wear here on the East Coast, where it's hot and sticky. I'm just tired of shorts and skirts that rub my waistline. Now it seems I should leave myself extra time to get places when I wear this dress, as I get stopped so often to receive compliments on it ;-) So, A+ for the dress. It does have pockets, and while I might wear it without the belt over a swimsuit (or without belt and unbuttoned over a tank top and jeans), I've been using the belt. For size reference, I'm 5'9 with narrow shoulders, small chest, and arms that I neglected to apply sunscreen to for way too long. I got the small and am tempted to get another just in case something happens to this one.
